FISHING REPORT

MOUNTAIN HARBOR RESORT

LAKE OUACHITA, ARKANSAS

OUT OF STATE – 1-800-832-2276
IN ARKANSAS - 1-870-867-2191; FAX #1-870-867-1205

PREPARED BY TODD GADBERRY, MARINA MGR.,

AND HUGH ALBRIGHT, GUIDE- 501-767-2171

Large mouth bass are fair and these fish can still be caught with Texas rigged worms, jig head worms and black spinnerbaits. Drop shots are still working well for spots off of drop offs in the river channels and over brush.

Walleye are good and being caught on spoons over brush piles on main lake points. Bottom bouncers with spinners and night crawlers are producing some quality fish as well.

Stripers are fair on live bait with shad or trot line minnows.

Bream are still excellent with crickets or worms in 18 to 25 feet of water.

Crappie are good and being caught over grass and brush. Try large moss flats and brush in water 16 to 20 feet deep. Minnows or crappie grubs are still working best. Tennessee shad and white are still the best colors for artificial baits.

Catfish are very good and being caught on cut bait and live bait on jug lines and trot lines.

LAKE CONDITIONS
WATER TEMPERATURE – 80 - 86 degrees

WATER CLARITY – Clear

LAKE LEVEL – 577.54

Also -- Fishing Report from Lake Greeson prepared by Darryl Morris and Self Creek Lodge & Marina:

Lake Greeson is at 547.5msl with surface temperature at 85-degrees. The dog-days of summer are upon us but the fish are still biting. We are consistently catching crappie, bream, bass, and catfish on hardwood and bamboo brushpiles with minnows. Fish 14 to 16-foot deep in 24 to 30-foot of water.
